New Beginnings: The Joy of Letting Go...

Dear Ones,

Over the past week, I have been reminded that to truly allow more love into our lives, we need to let go of that which no longer serves us. Whenever we are about to receive a blessing from Heaven, we often hear the guidance 'Open your heart and soul to receive'. You may wonder, how do I do that? As I was preparing to receive a blessing, I heard the message from Heaven, ''Just let go", I thought that I was opening my heart and soul to receive the blessing, but I couldn't have been opening my heart and soul enough because, I heard the same message again ''Just let go". Then I felt a huge opening, received so much light through the blessing and felt such relief, as though I was being washed clean.

To let go, is to surrender. To let go is to have greater humility. To let go is to acknowledge that we can only see a small part of the whole and that Heaven sees much more than we do, and understands much more than we do. As we let go, as we surrender, there is a lightness of being and joy that can return to our hearts.

Letting go is also about forgiving. When we hold on too tightly to something, an incident, a painful memory, an object or a place, we are not allowing for many other possibilities to enter our lives. We are limiting our own possibilities. When we hold on tightly it is like a closed hand, and when the hand is closed, it is difficult to receive. As we are able to release the past, to let of the memory, to let go of the pain, to let go of the place, new beginnings can be created. New possibilities can be formed that could bring us more of what we may be searching for, it could be more love, more happiness or more joy.

At this time as many celebrate Easter around the world, it is a time for new beginnings. Whatever your tradition may be, you could use this time to think of what you would like to bring into your life. Ask yourself what you would like to create in your life and meditate on what you need to let go of in order to bring this new beginning into your life? Whom do you need to forgive? Whom do you need to ask forgiveness from? Forgiveness is like wiping the slate clean so that we can start afresh. Give yourself the opportunity to have this new beginning through the joy of letting go.

Anyone who posts a comment will receive a blessing of Greatest Forgiveness (Da Kuan Shu in Chinese) to help you to let go so that you may create a new beginning. I would love to hear your experiences of letting go and if there has been a new beginning for you.

With love and blessings

  1. As I re-read this blog post, I had a greater realization of how "letting go" is humility. For me, I "hold on" from habit; from fear; from desire - which my have fear at its root. Thank you for this post, so I could focus again on Letting Go.
